About Us

Organic Mosquito Control was founded by Joseph Sheard to bring a safe and environmentally conscious method of mosquito control to the market. Our method requires less frequent applications, provides highly effective results and does not require the use of total-kill insecticides.

You won’t see our applicators blowing a cloud of mist across your property in a space suit. We use a larger droplet size for our applications so that products are applied as a liquid not a mist. Liquid applications provide a better, more effective coverage and mitigate the risk of product drifting away in the wind like a mist application. 

Our Products

Our 5 step program is designed to eliminate the use of total-kill insecticides and emphasize cultural mosquito control by targeting harboring areas and using peppermint-based products for residual control.

In some cases it is necessary to use a pyrethroid insecticide to kill existing mosquitos during an initial application or with a persistent infestation. However, after the initial application any insecticide use is kept to an absolute minimum.

Our Process

Upon arrival your technician will look with a trained eye and identify all mosquito harboring areas. These include mulch beds, wood piles, areas with poor drainage, shrubs with dense foliage and any receptacle that may collect water. These areas are then specifically targeted when setting up your mosquito barrier. 

Since you will have the same technician for all 5 visits they will become familiar with your property and make note of your preferences or any special instructions. 

Clients will receive a 48 hour notice prior to each application and a temporary sign will be posted on the property upon completion. This process is designed to help maintain an open line of communication with our clients at all times.
